Default EPI front springs for Prairie

I see that EPI is now selling replacement front springs for the Prairie. They are about half the cost of the Progressive springs. Has anybody used these springs or have any experience with them? I also found an EBAY auction for a pair of ELKA struts w/springs for $225.00. Dang, all new struts and springs sure sounds sweet!

Here is a couple of links for these springs:

RTY,

The Elka's that you are looking at are springs only. Elka does not make struts. I know because I ordered what I thought were the strut/springs from Elka and when only the spring kit arrived I was bummed. Don't get me wrong, they make a huge difference in the handling of the prairie. I am still waiting for someone to make aftermarket struts.

i also seen the epi springs for the prairie front and would also like to know if anyone has them on their wheeler, i would imagine that these would work very similar to the progressive springs because the progressives arent really progressive at all they are just a stiffer spring the same as the epi springs are. my question to anyone that has changed their springs, do you need any different hardware to install these springs or everything that you need to install these aftermarket springs comes on your wheeler from the factory and you just reuse the original stuff? meaning do you need a extra spacer or set screw or anything at all besides just compressing the old springs and installing the new in their place.

I just installed a set of the Progressives on my 700 and love them. You use everything except the OE springs. The only mod I did was to cut my black plastic spring covers down about 4 inches to make it easier to compress the spring and install the clip.
