i have ordered nerf bars off of dennis kirk.com and it says they will fit the 2003 lakota sport 300 but i was told by someone that i might need to create my own holes for the nerf bars to be attached to or to i attach them to existing parts without drilling.

 

no you shouldn't have to drill anything,i have them on my 2001 lakota and the 03 is exactly the same,so they'll fit with no drilling at all.This is dg i'm talking about.What kind of nerfs did you get?

 

it depends on the kind of nerf bars you bought travis. And i believe you can use a 95 to 99 lakota manual its hte same thing so i was told.

 

i didnt have to drill anything for my dg's and if you ordered them from dennis kirk thats probally what u got so you shouldnt have to drill anythnig.........if you can cancel the order and get them from shadetreeatv.com, they are only 70 bucks there for thedg alloy nerfs

 

well i got mine from denniskirk too and they were a b!tch to get on..my dad had to cut off the old bracket and re-weld new ones on cuz they didnt want to line up for anything...yeah i got the dg alloy nerfs and yeah once you got them on they are sick...but yeah i had to do a lot of modifying in order to make them fit just right...hope you dont have the same problem cuz it sucks...lol...good luck

 

o and just a suggestion...........if you cant get the back bolt holes to line up with the foot pegs try using a crow bar to pry them, that works real good and it didnt scratch them or anythin
