Well I beat everyone at the pulls with the BF750

I finally took first across the boards on the pulls (almost). Last year I had my butt handed to me by a bunch of Bombardiers. Not this time LOL. I had a made me a custom set of shocks up with about 2" of suspension travel before the bottomed out and were solid. My ball was exactly 16" off the ground and it was perfect. I had a 250 lb block of steel in the front and about 60 lbs on the rear. I needed all of it on the front to keep it on the ground. It was a heck of a ride. The track was awesome tacky clay and the tires bit great. The front set there and bobbed up and down the whole way down the track. I could lean forward and settle it down or set back and pick it up at will. I pulled a modded SP700 with a pipe and solid suspension and stock SP800 with solid suspension and two praire 650 and a couple 650 Bombs. We all weighed with in 10 lbs of each other and I full pulled every time (300 ft) The next best was the bombs 250 or so feet all the others stopped when the weight got to the top around 130 ft. It was set up perfectly. It suck though when I pull again in utah we won't weigh the same so I don't think my front is going to stay down. When I had the weight swithed it would not pull only lift the front and I lost the dang two wheel drive class cause my front came up and wouldn't go down no matter how far I went forward. Then I swithced and It was a beautiful sight. The bad thing is my hitch bent down a little from the stress LOL. So I will build one or by the receiver one on ebay. It ties into the diff and I can hook closer to the rear end. I hope it will do the same on a soft track but I doubt it. I don't think the front will come up as bad on a sandier track. I don't know I guess I will find out soon. So as off last night the brute is prolly the best one to have for a stock class. Unless that new BOMB is really so bad. I should be close to the same power as them. I guess I will find out in a few months when they are out in consumers hands.

congrats on the win.
but as for being close to the power of the new bomb -----i dont think so.
the new 800 makes 65hp and 52 ft pounds of torque.
your 750 might make 40hp.
anyways congratulations again.

62 HP at the crank for the Bomb
49 or 50 at the crank for the brute
56-57 at the crank for the brute with the CDI
62+ with other mods available for the brute
No mods available for 1 year or so for the bomb.
the brute wins, for now, I hope, lol.

Well my brute put out about 41 HP to wheels. So I bet I am knocking on 62 HP at the crank. The brute puts out 50.4 HP (or really close) at the cranks stock. So between all the little mods I have I am betting that there is little to no diff between the new Bomb 800.

There is a decal on the pictures of the bomb 800 thats clearly says it is a prototype atv so the odds are clearly very great that the atv will be detuned some before production just like kawie did to theres.I am not going to get to excited over a prototype atv there is ceatianly lots of things that can be changed before it hits production.

6.5 & 7... what were you using for tires ???
also I'm finally starting to ( at least think ) that I'm getting the weight distribution thing down... I now vary my weight distributin greatly acording to the length of the chain...
it's good to see the Kawi's winning... but it's too bad there are sill people putting on pulls, that don't allow the quads to scale the same...

Since several states limit ATV sizes to 800 cc ( MN for example ), I'd expect that either lots of states will need to change their laws, or that ATV's as we know them, are now as big as they'll get... ( as far as I know, there are no HP limits, so there are still performance improvements, as well as handling improvements to be made ), I'm sure there are plenty of areas in the U.S. that can ride around on ATV's or OHV's in the same areas, but several states in the midwest, & I'm sure we are not the only ones, make it illeagal to ride a Rhino ( for example ) on the states designated ATV trails... so, I'm sure we'll see a change in the next year or 2 if the engine sizes continue to grow, & I'm believing that the manufacturers know about the 800cc limit, or why didn't they bump above it??? if the growth of the side by sides continues, there may be some revising of the individual states laws, but right now, an 801 cc quad, & or a Rhino, are considered OHV's , same as a Jeep, & there are very few legal places to ride them around here...

I was using the 27" 589's. I had to have every ounce of weight (250 lbs) on the front to keep it down or else you couldn't control it without the front just rising up. I don't know what will happen when I pull on a soft track with sand in it? I doubt all the weight will be neccasry as you are not getting near the traction.
