Go with the ITP 589 , your Brute will have no problems with going to 27" if you so desire.

I have 27" mudlites on my 2005 brute force 750 and they are great. I have 26" ITP 589's on my 2004 kawie 700 prairie and they too are great. Here is what I have noticed.

Hard Pack: Mudlites ride a little better
Deep mud: Both are equal going forward.....backing up, the 589's grip better.
Mud cleaning: Both are good, but the 589's clean slightly better
Sand: Both are good, but the mudlites are better

Hope this helps.
