Brute force 650 winch bracket?
#1
I just bought a new BF 650 and the owners manual says it is equiped with a mounting bracket for a winch. Is that bracket just that straight bar at the bottom of the frame? Has anyone needed anything special to mount a winch on the 650? The winch is a 2000lb super winch (off ebay) if that makes a difference and it came with a universal mounting bracket.
Thanks

I just a week ago was able to get the intire mounting plates for cycle country. Yes that is PlatesSSSS! easy to install but don't forget a fairlead. The "Distructions say it is universal" not so sure about that, but it worked well for a warn 2500#. Hope that helps you out.
AS for where it is located on the machine... Remove front bumper and plastic "shelf like structure" located in front of radiator. It will set just above the front skid plate between radiator and front down tubes.
Total time for the installation was about 3 hrs winche and all.
good luck!

Hi,
Recently purchased a BF650 and warn winch from dealer. They needed an additional bracket that was hard to come by for a while but they soon had it and mounted the winch along with an additional bracket. I also noticed that Cabela's sporting goods had a bracket kit for this model in stock.

I just received a winch bracket that I bought off of ebay that is one plate with fairlead bracket and it fits perfect! It has two U bolts that attach to the frame at the back and two U bolts that attach it to the bottom frame. I can't wait to put it on this weekend!
