Can't answer your question on which one is better but i will say make sure you pull people out going foward low and not in reverse which i'm sure you have figured out. Reverse is where the brute smokes its belt or so i'm told.

I only paid $72 for OEM 700 belt at local dealer? Don't know why you are paying so much. Check out ronayers.com also.

Stay away from the Dayco belts , they are garbage . Stick with the Kawie belt and you will be happy. Don't know anything about the Carlisle belts , but i have tested more than 6 Dayco's , all with similar results.

Get the Kawi belt.
You get what you pay for in most cases.

Tuff, the Canadians have a higher price on their belts due to the exchange rate. Juicee, change your driving style a bit and most any belt will work for you.

Hey jpsdiving , i noticed in your sig your are testing the Dayco and Carlisle belts. How has your luck been , as i had none with the Dayco's . The problem i had with the Dayco's was i could not get them even close to within spec. for tightness , even removing all the shims , which just caused them to slip, get hot , and grenade.

HY, I am having great results with the new dayco proto type. I can't wait until this belt is available to the public. It seems like dayco stepped up and produced a great belt for the large bore quads that should hold up just fine. I have no problem setting deflection, and the belt runs really strong. Long term testing will prove me right or wrong
