Like I said, he said it was the worst handleing IRS that was there. They had the BF, SP800, KQ, and the Grizz. No AC. To them the BF was the worst. It sit's the highest but is also the narrowest. Those two together make for a unstable quad.
I am speaking from 1st hand knowledge because of owning and and riding with the machines , not what some one else said , weight distribution is what makes a ATV top heavy and the all the BF's weight is down low , since I OWN one I can tell you it is real stable , far more than a Grizz and some other brands including the Polaris Sportsmans series which there was several in our group but they are all been sold and traded because of the handing issues and replacing worn parts every weekend, those SP's ride good but don't handle worth a crap.

In stock form the BF is far from stable. I've riden with them and raced against them on my poor handleing SP800 and had no problem out doing them. Maybe with different tires and rims to make it wider, but in stock form in which they did the shootout, the BF is far from being stable.

I guess rider ability must have a lot more to do with it, I have no problems out handling any SPs but the fact it everyone ones to compare the new BOMB to the BF so that means the BF is on top and I own a BF and know one owns a BOMB 800 so they have not proven anything yet. This is the Kawie forum not the BOMB and sure the the POl forum.

WOW GE4X4 you sure poked the manure pile on that one . I wouldnt worry much about it though . If everyone recalls the hype of the BF with the carb probs. or the wonderful KQ with reverse self destruct mode. BRP has a pretty good track record and they really know how to get power out of a motor. Im sure this one will have some minor issues, I have heard similar reports as to yours and I am looking for a 2 up most likely the BOMBER. The SST frame is really proven on thier 400 . We will find out more in the mos. to come . In my opinion it will most likely be as I have heard thus far, dominating!!!! We will also see who switches over to the BOMBER you know powerheads cant resist, I cant!!! Thank you for the report.

I would say anyone should be able to have a say in this thread, irregardless of what machine they ride Jeffro
I look forward to testing the Bombardier Outlander 800. We will soon see who stacks up. I think every machine out there today has a lot of good points and sadly so, some bad one's as well.
But this being a free county we all have the choice to ride whatever machine we want to. I myself look forward to adding a bomb to my Kawi stable. I think they will like spending quality trail time together
The last time I was trail riding I thought I saw more then 1 brand of quad happily riding down the trail, and I also remember another brand hauling my stuck butt out of a mud hole too, so hoo-ray

GE, I have to side with you on this BF handeling thing between my dad's BF750,KQ, & P650 and my long list of current and past quads I can also speek from experince that the BF is one of the worst handeling quads I have ever been on. I also think you are exactly right about why, it is that way, its to tall to be also that narrow. I will say Kawi still has the best ATV for sale today, its just not the BF750, more like the Prairie 700 IMO. Not for long though. I plan to keep my Sp800 long enough to get my dad's quads and mine together for our own shootout with my new BRP800 when it gets here. Sportmans very in handeling depending on what year and what model. I really think the 2005 SP800 is more stable than the BF and some of the older Sportmans as well. I kinda liken the BF hadeling to the Grizz reguardless were the fuel tank is located.

Hi cc1999,
It would be really nice to see Kawasaki make a Brute Force 800 (SRA). If they did, I would be very interested in it. I owned an 03 Prairie 650 in which was a great machine but didn't care for the body work. Either this upcoming fall or early next year, I will be in the market to buy a new machine.
