HEy fellow kwackerpeople. I got some .380 cams from cycleworks and need some help with the specs for the camshaft cap torque. Also, the Cam timing chain adjuster, the book says that even the slightest adjustment and the tensioner needs to be reset. Well- I took it off and took off the cap bolt and backed it out with a screwdriver but it just recoiled on it's own to fully extended so I put it back on the engine and backed it out again beforsecuring it down. It just seems to do whatever it wants tensionwise. Thanks for yer help, guys.....

 

torque them to 12 Nm or about 104 in lbs or about 1.2 kg-m.....also...i can never get that tension to work...i'm currently looking for a manual one from a sport bike....i had some found but i lost the site

Thanks guys, I'll give greg a jingle. I think I'll go rattle the dealers cage a bit tommorow too. I need a bigger pilot jet for the 400ex carb. It's all finally comming together; I've been peice mealing all this together for the longest time, ya know? I'm so stoked now that I've brought everything together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
