EFI doesn't belong on a quad- a racer much less..............

And how long did they last. Not takin' potshots at anyone- it's just not that easy on a quad. A back up kick or pull start won't work, at least not with a dead battery because the injectors need to fire. And ya can't order up jets with a phone call, and I don't think yer gonna wanna remap your algorithms with a lap top when you go to Colorado one weekend..........

just so you know cannondales are still around atk bought them out and I dont think you understand fuel injection it corrects itself to the temperature and altitude so the engine is running at its best and you never have to rejet just bolt a pipe on and go.

not to jump on you. but you would have to change the program of the computer if you were to install a pipe or air mods. it would be the same as a car made today. sure you can bolt it on but to get the full potential of the 700 +$ you just invested you would have to change the fuel curve and everything else.

just my 2 cents.

As far as mainstream (not Cannondale or ATK) machines with fuel injection go anymore, Polaris is the only one that is that difficult to adjust. For the King, you can get the Dobeck TFI which has 4 small "pots" which a regular flat-tip screwdriver fits into. You rotate the pots clock or counter clockwise to adjust four aspects of your power delivery (idle, main jet, etc.) Basically, you're rejetting without ordering different jets or having to install them. For the ATV enthusiast that doesn't know a thing about how to rejet a carb (like myself), plugging the programmer into the EFI and then adjusting with the twist of a **** sounds worlds better. RedGoblin= 2 cents.

Some Arctic Cat snowmobiles (Suzuki motors)have EFI and no battery. They use a capacitor to hold the charge from the first pull, second pull you're in business.
