Default QUESTIONS ABOUT CHAIN DRIVE

just keep the chain lubed up and the air filter clean and it'll run good...to tighten the chain...and the end of the swing arm there is two bolts....loosen them and you will be able to rotate the bearing carrier....keep about 20-35mm (i think that's what the manual says) of slack in the chain

Default QUESTIONS ABOUT CHAIN DRIVE

and possibally your berring carrier might be frozen so dont be afarid to give it a few wacks with a hammer to move it.......you need to ajust your valves every six months, and it proballly wouldnt hurt to do a compression check every time you do a tune up just so you could see what kind of shape your engine is in and so you could catch any problems before they escolate.....a good compression on a stock engine should be 145-160 psi.....and dont forget to keep up on your oil/filter changes too
