praire 700 or BF 650?

I already have a 2000 praire 400 and a 2000 Bayou 220. and now I am looking at a third. Which of the two would you get? The only difference to me seems to be the engine size. Any other differences that make one better than the other? By the way great forum guys.

No replacement for Displacement. 700 has about 5 more ponies than 650 & anything the 650 can do the 700 does a little quicker & Mo-***** with same mods. If you are not "PowerHungry" the 650 is hard to beat and Best in its class. Had my 02 650 since new and its still going strong. No 650 utility out ther will hang with the V-twin's power and agility.

I would go with the P700 with the way the market is booming and cc's growing you will be happier with the extra power that the 700 has over the 650. I have had mine for about a year and love it to death. I am very happy that I chose the P700

From the seat of the pants I can't tell my 650 from my 700. Both have CDI boxs , KandN filters and Procircut pipes. They do Dyno out different the P650 has 34HP compared to the 38hp at the wheels of the Twin Peaks / P700. When raced the the 700 wins every time. I do like the Brute Plastic allot better. They did away with allot of the screws and nuts and small plastic trim peaces. The new plastic is also a little better quality so I am told. If I were to choose I would most likely buy the The BF 650 and spend the money on the modds. My 2002 p650 dyno's 1 hp more than a stock 700's. My pipe kits ran 450.00 for complete systems my CDI's I think were around 200.00 and the K&N filter was about 40.00. So for about a 150.00 more than the 700 you can have about 1 hp more than the 700 and also have the new plastic. I still can't beleive Kawi didn't drop the Prairie and just offer a Brute 750 SRA with the new BF650's plastic. How hard could that have been. It would have at least given them a fighting chance against the new Bomb800 in this years shootouts. I better stop it just PO's me all they did for 06 was give the POS 750i a new color, big woop, it will still finish 3-5th in the shootouts no matter what color it is.

i love my 700 and wouldent trade it for anything else.
except an 800 prarie.
the 750 bf is irs suspention where as the 700p and 650 bf are sra suspention.
iwould stay with the sra i had an irs and i like the solid rear axel better.
its more predictable.
and relyable because it has less moving parts.
