Hey Torbinx will the rap fit a guy whose 5'11?

 

easily buddy. Its demensions are almost exact to the 2005 raptor 660 and yzf450 only real diff is its a inch and a bit shorter. All that means is you can wheelie easier lol. I know a guy who is 6'5" and rides a 400ex without complaining and another whos 6'1" and has to ride a ds650 cause he feels cramped. Then again the taller guy is skinny and the guy who rides the ds650 is alot heavier. Like I said Im 6'3" 178 and dont have a problem on a z400 so you should be fine with the 350. Sit on it and see how the ergonomics feel. If you can test drive it for 5 min you should have an idea on how ergonomics and geometry are. Back when I had my honda 350 which my 15 year old brother drives he had a 250ex up until this year and I would ride it on occasion to get the sport feel until I bought the z400. The 250ex was cramped for me but its an intermeidiate size quad and the raptor 350 is a full size. The raptor should easily accomodate and fit you. If you want alittle more ummfff....all you need to do is get a kn airfilter, dynojet kit, exhaust and throw some holeshots or razrs on the back and your ready to rock.

I guess it all comes down to your level of experience. I guess at 13 the Raptor 350 might be better for you however, another thing to consider is a good deal on a used 400ex. They are a good reliable quad and there are plenty of them out there. I see a lot of '00-'03 400ex's with a few of the essential mods (skids, nerfs, pipe, aftermarket wheels/tires) going cheap in the Cycle Trader. Seriously, you can get a very good deal on one with all the stuff you'll want already on it. I've considered one a few times because the deals were soo good.

 

get a kfx 400 if my girl friend can handle it then you can (shes 5'5 about 110 #s) she had never riden a fourwheeler before

 

I know exactly what thats like. I rode with a friend of mine and he races atv pro mx and xc and his wife rides a 400ex and has been riding for a few years and is gonna start mx. Anyways one time she had taken a raptor660 up a hill flipped it and broke her ribs. When we rode together she had her 400ex lift off a hill and roll over when all of us had gone up it perfectly. At at least 4 other parts on the trail in a full day ride she had gotten off and had to have her husband drive it up. But wait shes been riding 4years, is gonna do mx, and she can "easily" handle her 400ex (which btw is a 40ex piped with elka suspension). Personally she one of the worst riders ive ever seen in my life.

 

There is no way I'm gonna get a 400ex im sure they are great bikes but i feel like shaq in a mini cooper. Cycle trader does have some nice deals. I found a 04 kfx for 4 g's

400ex is right behind the z400 at about 68mph and z400 is about 71mph. Dude your never gonna need a topspeed diff 3mph where its gonna affect you. Unless you run on gravel fire roads then its gonna be useless. Its fast enough haha.

 

I'm probably gonna get a blaster or a rappy 350 like ya said thxs for the advice.
