I almost bought a KFX400 as my first quad and I had about as much riding experience as you. Only mine was when I was 13 and I'm 27 now. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

your saying a yfz 450 is crazy but a kfx aint? Just cause the yfz can pull harder and bring it up to speed so much faster in 3rd gear or lifts the front wheels quicker and what not makes it beyond him now. I bought my kfx as my first quad. I was 14 then, payed for it all by myself with a lot of long hours on the farm. I've had for a couple years now and never have had a problem with it. I highly recomend it. Its really good for beginner and it gives you a lot of room to grow. Just remember that skill is cheaper and better than mods. Learn to outride your quad and when you can, then you mod it. My engine is bone stock and i can still take it to guys riding ds 650's raptor and 450's. Thats my 2 cents.
