Default Tire/wheel size question regarding stability

Will I lose overall stability by increasing my tire size from a 25-inch to 26-inch without increasing the width of my wheel size?

I eventually want to upgrade the wheels/tires on my BF650 from the stock 25-inch to 26-inch Holeshot ATRs or Mud Lite XTRs. I will also upgrade to a better wheel but want to keep the wheels at the same stock width. By increasing tire size without increasing rim width, the bike is actually gaining an inch in height without gaining anything in width, right? Does this affect the stability? Should I just upgrade to a better 25-inch tire/wheel combo without changing the size of either wheel or tire?

The reason for my concern is that my front tires/wheels just fit perfectly between the wheel wells of the bed of my pickup truck and, therefore, it is important that I don’t go any wider. The rear wheels/tires don’t matter.

There has been quite a bit of discussion on this issue. Maybe you could do a search and get quite a bit of info. From what I've heard, BF750 owners are going wider with the wheels, but there may be another solution.

I've seen one guy with the same problem just ride up over the wheel wells.

You are stating the needs for an BF650, right? Same as a Prairie 650.
I would just stay with the stock wheels & the Holeshot ATRs in either the 25" or 26" size.

Yeah, it's a BF650.

If I ride over the wheel wells there is not enough bed space left towards the front of my truck for the wheels to come back down.

You also will give up full fender protection and will get wet and full of mud all of the time...
