Prairie 650 ignition which one is best?

Hey guys I just got an 02 650,1500 miles I was wondering if they all cough and sputter when they first start cold?Im used to the old 300 that runs like a clock all the time.I see theres a dyna ignition that says helps starting, and 5 more hp.Does it really work.Or do I need to adjust the carbs. It runs great after a few minutes I love the power. Thanks for the help.I just joined and this is a great forrum .

Get the DYNA FS for your 02. You think you got power now Just wait till you put in the Dyna. It should wheelie in Hi gear then.
Dyna had a few problems with the early releases & they sent me a replacement. I've had replacement for more than 2 years now without problem

The Dyna is will worth the money. Mine is a cold blooded B*tch, specially in Minnesooota for plowing. What made the biggest difference for mine in cold weather starting was re jetting the carbs.

Thanks for the info guys.I have read about the problems with the early one.Does the power With the dyna.go throughout the powerband or just on low end? What does top speed end up at?What jet sizes do you recomend?I see some put a larger one on the rear carb .

My Brute 650 runs a little rough right after I start it no matter if it's hot or cold. Not so bad when hot but definately when it's cold. Just gotta let her idle for a bit after start.
I'm thinking on getting a Dyna as well. The only thing keeping me is the $$$ (just might get me an '05 Predator for a real good price.) For more info on the Dyna do a search. There have been plenty of posts on them in the past.

You notice more power on the bottom then the top do to how it re maps the spark. Some say that it is not that big of a difference over stock. but if you have done more of the basic modes, exhaust, rejetting, snorkel, etc. the bigger the power gains. I had done all of those and when I plugged in the cdi I can now wheely easily every time. One of the plus's of the Dyna cdi people don't talk about much is the elemenation of the reverce limiter. If you plow alot it's a great feature.

Thanks mudhound That really helps.I have a 10% off and they are 200 on ebay so I thought I would get one.I have the cycle country plow ,it has a poly blade, not sure how excited I am for snow though.I dont believe I need any more mods ,my brother has a Rincon ,need I say more.Theres no comparison in power .I cant believe honda will sit back and watch the 4x4 market go bye.The only thing I'm not that impressed with is the rear brake,And maybe my tires are so bald being stock that there sliding more than I think they are.I guess I'll have to look for some new ones,I'm more of a trail rider.and like something that will slide easily. My brother loves the holeshots.

Are you sure you want a predator,I rode one and didnt like the seat,or the fact you can feel every stroke of that motor.Plus its a polaris.Just sold a 99 400 sport ,piped and clutched. We were riding down to coal creek ,tn,and it just quit,no spark changed the plug, nothing,My brother was pulling me out a nasty trail.I hit the starter and it lives. My father in law has a 425 and that didnt want to stay running .I think polaris has electrical problems.I hope the kaw is better it also looks like a lot of electrical features. Why cant they be simple like the honda 300 4x4 .And run forever.
