Default 27" Tires Too Much for BF 650?

Looking at putting 27" ITP 589 on my BF 650 without adding a lift kit. Any concerns, anyone else have a similiar configuration? Hit a rock with the stock front wheel Saturday and lost the bead, will also be switching to the cast aluminum most likely the ITP Type 6 wheels.

thanks,

No problems. I have 27" Mud Machine Bi claws in the fron and Tri claws in the rear. No rubbing anywhere I can tell.

I got em on mine except I have a 2" lift. They did look like they would fit without the lift.

Thanks for all the replies. One interesting note in researching tires the ITP 589's in the 27 inch size are only 12 pounds heavier then the mudlites of the same size (entire set - 9 in front and 11 in rear). Note that the Mudlites are 12 in the rear and 589's are 11. probably to save weight. So the next question then is the 12 inch mudlite xl going to perform better in the mud then the 11 589? One more inch of float versus more aggressive traction.

So many decisions . . . maybe I should go with tracks www.e-tatou.com.

happy trails

I own a 05 bf 650 and just put 25's mudlite xl's. Some rubbing in the back, actually a lot. I wore a hole in the casing that surrounds the gas tank.Waiting for spacers. Also I have 12inch itp c seris rims, they are a bit bigger then stock.

My rear 27" Mudlite XTRs with the 14 inch wheels arrived, WOW they are awesome and no chance on rubbing, the wheels make the inside alignment match the stock setup. But boy are they heavy, the cheap stock tires/wheels weighed in at 24 lbs, the new mud"lites" weighed in at 45 lbs.

Can I ask what you paid for the setup? Looking to do the same thing for my BF650. Thanks
