PADDLES on a PRAIRE
cc1999. Do you think there would be a big difference between the 25-12-9 and the 24-11-10 skattraks power wise. I happen to have both a set of 10" & 9" rear rims. By the next time I go to Utah my prairie will be 765 Fundy powered so I guessing the difference wouldn't be much.

Don't get me wrong the 25-12-9's I have do fit on the bomb when put them on the right direction. the only problem is the offset is all wrong and they pretty much set outside the fenders. If I could turn them around they would be fine but the 9" rims are to small to clear the TTI arms. Thats why I have to go to a 12" rim.
Your other question about the 25-12-9's or 24-11-10's. The differences would be minor however the 25-12-9's should ride smother do to the larger sidewalls and I know some guy's run 22" paddles on the Prairie's but for the life of me I do not know how that works, I know I tried it with my old V-vorce set of Paddles and was running drag races with it and another prairie 700 with stock tires that ran pretty even stock to stock but when we put the 22" extreams on one of them, the stock tire machine would kill the paddle machine do to the gearing was all wrong for the short paddles on the stock Prairie clutch setup. All the top end was completely gone. I mention this because it has been my experince that the closer to the stock size you keep your tires the better the Prairie's run.

CC... I have 2 different sets of custom wheels ( probably much cheaper than custom paddles )... both Keizer & Real Wheel can make a very light weight wheel, in any offset you'd like... My Keizers are double beadlocks with chrome mudshields, my Real Wheels are 12" X 12" aluminum, that I use specifically for pulling... you should check both of them out...

Funny thing is... I'm not a sand rider... so I'm only repeating what I would consider makes sense & was told to me in previous tire discussions... I would suspect that 90% of the reason would be lighter weight... a buffed & vulcanized paddle tire is probably 10-20% lighter size per size, than a molded Geko or Paddlemaster...
also, as they are so thin, they maybe round up more, & provide better floatation... I know my paddlemasters are a pretty tough tire, the paddles are much heavier, & the tires don't round out near as much...
thats pretty funny... for some reason typing tough puts a link to something Polaris... I think theres a conspirecy ( spelling ) or something going an there

I was talking about pros and cons in reguards to Polaris and Outlanders in another thread and I put somthing like the Polaris was not as tougggh and the polaris link showed up. It kinda ticked me off since I was not trying to promote Polaris. I reported to a modereator and they told me they had sold the word to them. So if you dont like it misspell it and it won't link it.
