What are the best rims for riding rockey terrain? My stockers are getting bent all the hell on the outside edges.

DJW, ITP has some nice offerings.

Are you still running the stock tires on your BF? I'm going to ride as much as possible on my stock wheels/tires until I do enough damage to replace.

Captain,
I am running the stock dunlops on the front, but I have put Maxxis all traks on the rear because of flat tire issues with the dunlops. I also have a Suzuki Vinson that the dunlops were aways going flat, I put ITP mudlites on that one. I am asking everyones opinion because the Brute Force has steel rims that are bending, and the Vinson has alluminium with only some scratches. I would have thought the steel rims would be stronger.

I also have a BF-650 just put a set of ITP C-series type 4 wheels with Holeshot ATR's (25"). There are a couple of pics on my page of the new wheels and tires...anyways....We went riding/camping last weekend at Tasker's Gap in Virignia. Got to the campground and set everything up around 11a.m. by 2:30 i was setting on the side of a trail with a flat tire...had to wait there 3 hours for my two other buddies to bring me back a spare so i could get back to camp. Then $20 worth of BS later....it was ready to ride again...by the end of the trip my left rear wheel inner side had a big *** flat spot in it! I beleive the ITP C-series wheels are really great wheels....I just ride the **** out of my bike and was very upset that i had this much problem on just a 2 day trip.

Yeah, I heard alot of guys getting flats real easy with the ATRs. I think I'm going to the Maxxis Bighorns after I beat up my stock tires for a couple of seasons.

Think the problem is really with the holeshots? I got to say i love the way the brute handles w/ the holeshots....God it slides awesome!!....and hooks up so well that given the right type of dirt (lol) I can charge into the turn very hard let off the gas just breifly and then hammer it again and get it to pull the front tires off the ground while exiting the turn!! Lots of fun!!!

Honestly, I don't know if it's the tire or not since I've never had them. But I've read alot of forums over the past couple of months where guys are saying the same thing you are - that they love how the ATRs hook up but that they're easy to puncture. I wouldn't think so since they are a radial. I really had my heart set on those until I heard this and then I started leaning towards the Bighorns. I might still give the ATRs a chance.

By the way, TeamGrn, your Brute looks good with that set up. I have the same red BF650.

Despite you getting a flat with the ATRs, I take it they are much better handling than the stock Dunlops??
