Ok what's the deal with kawaski and not being able to lock into 4x4 if in a hole and cann't go foward, and why does it take like a block for it to lock in foward? What about the belt switch, it gets tripped then you can only go like 12mph and no 4x4?

The 4wd system needs an atv in motion to kick in, but the limp mode belt issue has been fixed since the 04 models. All atvs with 2wd/4wd or 2wd/awd systems require tire rotation to engage or disengage, just like on trucks and suvs.

It does seem to take longer for the Kawasakis to engage. My Grizzly is almost instantaneous. I was using ramps to put my Grizz up into the truck when they kicked out after the front wheels got into the truck. I just hit 4wd and was able to pull the rears up. I'm afraid to think if it was the Twin Peaks. I might still be there.
The Twin Peaks will engage in reverse, mine did, it took about 20ft. but it did engage in reverse.

MY PRAIRE 700 GOES INTO AND OUT OF 4X4 VERY QUICKLY WITH A FLIP OF THE SWITCH,ON THE OTHER HAND MY BRUTE 750 TAKES A COUNTRY MILE TO ENGAGE,IT IS A REAL PAIN SOMETIMES WHEN YOU GET SURPRISED AND NEED 4X4 RIGHT AWAY.
