bayou engine oil / rear end reccomendation
One more question on new purchase of 03 Bayou. Any reccomendations on weight and brand of engine oil and rear end oil. Need to change before riding. Thanks a BUNCH!

Engine: I get my filter from the Kawasaki dealer. With respect to viscosity, you have to factor in the ambient temperature of the area in which you live and ride. For my area (South Texas), I use Kawa-Chem (from the dealer) 20W-50 in the summer and 10W-40 in the winter.
Differential: I use SAE 90 gear oil (API GL-5 rating, from my local auto parts store). If in a cold climate (< 5 C), you need to use SAE 80 gear oil.
