2006 750 Brute Top Speed
PraireDog,
You will definitely LOSE a few mph at the top-end b/c the 26" mudlites weigh SIGNIFICANTLY more than the 25" mudlites and the 25" stock tires too.
Dgrozzy,
You probably have lost a little top-end when you upgraded the tires/rims. The extra weight of the aftermarket tires/rims will definitely slow you down some.
Also, keep in mind that there are MANY reports on these forums that any two quads of the same model, same year and same modifications will come straight from the factory with 2 different top-speeds. A lot of this probably has to do with the slight variances in each part that is manufactured and also b/c of differences in break-in method used, differences in altitude, temperature, etc. I have one of the "slow" Prairie 650s...it only did 58mph on the speedo when brand new, whereas several other new P650 owners have reported top-speeds between 58 to 65mph (sometimes more) on the various atv forums. Luckily, after several mods I was able to increase my top-speed to 69mph on the speedo.
Happy trails...

Man I love hearing this I had mine on flat ground last night 66mph in 4cityblocks, (6'3 285) im always hearing how much more power the 750 has than the 650, my buddy has a 05 BF750 (5'9 190) from a dead stop his is stock the only mod i have is the moose module, i can keep up till about 30mph then slowly and i mean walking speed he will pull me, in the 4block drag race he was mabye 5 wheelers ahead, it just aint worth the extra $1000.00 IMO

I got my 750 for $6,242 OTD, and my dad took a 650 for $5,800 OTD. To me it was worth the 442.00 for the IRS and the 750. I had mine up to 68 and ran out of road, I would guess that I had 2-4mph left. I am afraid to really get into it yet, only have 15 hours on it.
AS far as speed yes he is close, but I wouldnt trade the IRS for anything for the type of riding I do.
