89 300 Bayou Clutch Problem

My uncle has an 89 300 bayou 2x4 and it has no auto clutch anymore anyone know how much it costs to fix it shifts quite hard and it will die in gear if your not moving because the clutch wont kick in. also the rear differntial lock move super hard is there any way to clean that up and lubricate it.

http://www.buykawasaki.com and go to parts cataloge and find your machine.... hope this helps since it shows all the replaceable parts on the machine

Adjustment does work wonders sometimes, mster; I'm with you!

Hold upper adjusting screw, loosen locknut (12mm); turn screw right until tension is felt; then, left until tension is felt; hold screw and tighten locknut. Too far left, it won't engage; too far right, it won't disengage.

I would agree with the adjust advice. We had a 300 Bayou many moons ago and had 1 major complaint. The clutch was the most finicky for adjustment I have ever seen. As much as 1/8 to 1/4 turn made a world of difference. I think it was an 89 or 90.
