Lakota vs. Warrior
#1
Not that it truly matters, but I am curious which is faster on acceleration and top end, a Lakota or Warrior? I do not know anyone that owns a Warrior so I have no way to race one. If a Warrior wins stock vs. stock will a piped and jetted Lakota take it? I have heard it go either way from different people but I was wondering if anyone had any 1st hand experience with these 2 machines.

i have both machines and can tell you that stock for stock ,the lakota dosnt come close. the warrior will eat it every time. i dont even think that with mods a lakota would take it -but i never rode one that had mods so i cant say for sure.

My 1999 Lakota,Suppertrap exh.,jet kit,web cam, splitfire plug,k@n filter, syth oil machine will not beat a warrior, The warrior got about 20 foot jump everytime we raced but could not increase the lead. We did this 7 or 8 times. The warrior was a new 2000 with about 30 hours on it. There was also a 300 ex 2000 model riding with us too. My Lakota would out run his 80 percent of the time. The 300ex had a aftermarket exh. Jet kit ,etc. I could keep up on the trails with them, but i was having to work harder.

Mstr,
I was wondering how your Mojave does against your Warrior? Also, the Warrior vs. Lakota, the Warrior eats it bad huh? How bad? Oh well it's all in GOOD FUN anyhow. My friend is thinking of getting a Warrior and I didn't know how bad he'll leave me when we are out riding. Prob. not too bad anyway because we stick together and don't race to see who's is fastest. If that were the case I'd be left everytime since I ride with a 400EX and a 400 Scrambler as it is. We are searching for nothing but a GREAT TIME.

the warrior will beat a mojave and a lakota. the mohave will keep up till the top end then the warrior will pull away. with its 6th gear it smokes it. the lakota is not geared for speed . it will take off fairly quick but top speed leaves alot to be desired. if it only had 6 gears then it would be a great machine all around. if your out to have fun it dosnt matter they all are good machines and will serve you well.

the warrior will outrun the kawasaki's in a drag race, but on the trails, the tight turning kawasakis will be right there every time. I also wager to say that both the mojave, and the lakota have better suspension than the stock warrior. I used to soak up some pretty rough landings on my mojave, and the lakota I own now, has the same feel although I have not launched it.
