Engine Braking ?
#1
Just a quick question about the engine braking on a BF 650. When I am descending a hill in low range & very low speed the engine braking system surges as if it is searching for the right setting. This only happens at very low speed in low range. It functions normal the rest of the time. Just wondering if this is normal.

Mine does this. Them engine braking actuater are stupid though. If it ever stop working i wouldnt bother buying a new one. Just tape off the flashing 4x4 light and just feel for the 4x4 to kick in.

under the conditions of low speed the engine brake kicks out, as the bike gets to a higher speed with the engine engaged , the brake will engage when the throttle is released. it is a matter of using the throttle to engage and disengage the brake.
