Although I would really love that, I must say I unfortunately find it very unlikely.

They will problably try to compete directly with the other 450s.

They have to put efi in it, suzuki has made the first step and now all of the others are just "old technology"...
If kawie releases a carburated quad they will be shooting themselfs on the foot...

But if they really make it a 500, that would be very very nice.

More powerful and, since MX would not a concern, more trail oriented, which is, after all, were 90% of it's owners will be riding it!

Don't worry about not having any KFX's for 06, my brother just bought an 06 model so they will be around for at least 1 more year.

 

I read in a press release that the the KFX400 will be the only quad from the deal to continue beyond 2006, the others will cease to be offered after the '06 model year. Do a google search for more details...

First of all, the KFX400 chassis is the LTZ400 chassis. IOW, it's not theirs, it's Suzuki's. There is no way they are going to use that chassis. Will they gain some valuable info from it? Yes. Will they take the easy way out and build a 450 based around it for the most heavily contested class in ATV racing? Think again. Kawasaki is not stupid. They are doing all of the research that they feel is necessary before they come out with their 450. Look at the KX450F. Everyone bitched because they didn't rush an incomplete package to market. Now that it is here, there is nothing but praise for it. There is a benefit to being last in that you get to take the best qualities from your competitors' products and mold them into yours. Will we see a KXF450 rushed to market? No. It will be here soon enough, but I wouldn't expect it anytime within the next six months.
