185 Bayou starting problems...

Don't know if this will help any or not, but check everything with respect to ignition and fuel:
1. Replace the spark plug.
2. Be sure the air filter is clean.
3. Check the battery connections (and water level in the battery).

My bayou 300 does this also, it will crank and crank with electric start just no fire, one pull of the rope and it is going, seems to be worse if it sits for over a week or so. I have not had any luck figureing out what the deal is either. If it doesnt start within 5 seconds of elec. starting I just pull the rope and it goes.

Another thing to check is the valve clearance. If the intake valve is too tight, is makes for tough starting when cold.

I'll check that tomorrow.
Thanks.
