Shock covers

I have a 2006 Camo Brute Force 750 with 27" Itp mudlights. Do shock covers help or are they just for show. I see them on ebay, plus I have noticed them on a few quads that have been pictured on this forum.

i think they really do help. But you have to make sure you get big enough ones to cover things up...i've seen too many that dont do there job.....

What do they help just keep the shocks from getting dirty or what i got em on my quad they dont do crap because when you go through mud and water they soak through well anyway i got to go take care
