I have a 04 50cc Kaw kfx quad, over the past couple months I have noticed that it is not running as strong as first. Since the day I bought it, I have not been totaly happy with it. I removed the restrictor washer from the exhaust, with not much difference. Was wondering if anyone else out there had a similar problem, and how to correct it. ie: air box not breathing well, carb needs new jets... any help would be great.. Thanks

The February ATVAction just did a review on the KFX50. They recommend only running it downhill.
One fix they did give was to get a kit from CT racing - exhaust system, modified head, K&N filter and jetting kit. They claim that this bumps up the stock HP from 1.2 to 2.6. CT Racing - (562)945-2453.

remove the restrictor in the carb inlet. You will need to drill a few holes in the air filter cover and rejet. It makes a big time difference. My son's kfx50 will haul my big butt around no problem now.
Thanks everyone for the great input... Do you know what size jets you used?
