Just got back from dumont to test my Fundy 700 kit.

Well Ken (730) and Mark (785) couldn't make it.... CRAP!!! There were not many people out there (Dumont) but I got some good races...

Besides a few banshees (duh!) and (3) 450s nobody could beat me... I was spanking YFZs, TRXs, all day but 3 of them had cams and one also had a high comp piston... they could still get me... not by much.. the cammed YFZ got me by 2/3 bikes... the TRX with the piston and cam got me by 3/5 bikes... BUT all 3 of those riders were 150/170lbs tops... if I was that light or if they were the same weight as me I would have tied or even beat them... even they were impressed.

You know your doing good when other riders seek you out to race... going past other racers to line up next to you.

If I had even a tiny shot of nitrous I would have been in the top 1% of the day... as it stands I'd say I was top 5%. To be fair there were not alot of heavy hitters out there.

I'd say my bike is in the front of the pack next to medium modded, stock bore 450s Not bad for a 500+ pound quad with baiscly only a cam.

Quarter hilled a bunch of piped Raptors, and Bomb DS650s gave some a 8/10 bike lead and still got em...

Saw 2 stock KFXs out there... sand stars... half hilled them..
Saw one modded KFX.. he reads the kawie board... he knew me right away... had dual pipes, CDI, bartbox, 24inch Skat Traks (all our best tricks...LOL) and clutch kit... got him by 8/10 bikes.

THEN I blew my belt... <_< I guess I was making a little too much power... that's ok... it was my original belt... almost 2 years old... now I need another... couldn't get video nobody showed up to film me...

full on ported 730 with the bigger carbs is 92 HP at the crank... mine with the stock bore kit is hovering around 77/82ish

MetalAlien.... Can you tell me about your 700 kit?
I thought the V was already a 700.. where did you get it? how can i contact them? what was the price of the kit? did you have to bore the engine out any? what in all is invalved in this kit? and will it run with the 730,s? please give me all the info on this paticlar kit that you can. I might go this way instead of haveing to bore out.. that leaves money for a port and polish job... .... thanks alot

I only bought the 700 kit because I wanted to see how fast a 700cc KFX could go withOUT nitrous. I falls a bit short of the 730s but as you can read.. it spanks stock cam 450s easy. I even got a few modded banshees... that really pisses them off..LOL

The 700 kit from fundy power sports is pretty pricey a little over a grand.. Four stroke tech makes one for 900 I think... Both are stock bore kits... no need to bore.. you do need to do a sizing hone which is much easier.

The 730s are the einges to beat.. they are pretty much the perfect engine for the V... it gives it just enough cc to max out the heads.. I can always do that later... one of the good things about doing a stock bore kit.

The 730s are 1170 I believe,,, again FST offers a cheaper version of that kit.. don't know which is better.

Do a search for Fundy Power Sports, or Miickey Dunlaps Four Stroke Tech and you should be able to find their websites.

700kit details.

697cc wiseco pistons (or JE on request, more money) 11.1 to 1 compression all the way up to 12.5 I believe.

new valves springs, spring seats.. the stock ones are too soft for the new cams.

much bigger cams, the stock pistons would be unable to use these.

I also have the full porting and larger carbs.

hey, thanka for the info... i looked on four stroke tech web site and they list a 730 kit for 390$$ and the cams for another 350$$ so thats a full blown 730 for 740 bucks.... can you tell me if a port and polish job would add enough to the power to make it worth my while or should i use that money for additinal mods? thanks metal....
