porting and unshrouding the valves gives you 10 HP I believe.. and going to 36mm carbs gives you another 7. I believe a 730 kit with nothing else is 75hp or something like that...

Well they make jetting a fundy motor eaiser because even the 700kit will damn near out jet the stock carbs.

You get them off ebay. look for a set of 1999 CBR 600 f3 carbs. They come in a set of 4, you have to seperate them into 2, and fab some brackets for the throttle cable, plus you must get rid of the stock airbox or make it fit...

They go for anywhere between 50 bucks and 200... I got mine for 175... You don't need them, but if you are up to it, it gives you a much bigger range in jetting... for example just before I got them I was at 185/180 dynojet... now I can run 155/150... gives me room to jet up if I need to.

The 700 is a great quad, but its a little heavy.
To Keep up with the 450 it will cost you. Exhaust, CDI, offset crank key, air box mod, .......Big Bore kit, Cams, Porting, Carbs. etc. What ever you do the 450 will still be there. In MO we watched a 750BF with a little add on's smoke a highly modified KFX 700 in the 300' Sand Drags. But the Yam 450 still wins.
You can put a exhaust system, clutch kit , air box mod, jet kit on the 650 and stay with a 700.
In Sand Drags I would run my 650 in 4x4 with limited slip lever pulled and stay with a lot of quads.

V700? The KFX is a twin, is that what you are talking about?
UR funny

here's a little mock up image of my next build... think next year.

in this picture, the carbs are facing to one side, on the real build they would be turned to face forward in line with the charger. Also the filter would not be that tall and the scoop would cover the filter... but you get the idea.
