Default copperhead cdi: what is it?

I don't know why, but I've looked at my timing and after hitting about 15MPH it still takes a long time to reach full timing even at a set RPM? It is like the timing isn't allowed to jump up to full. I'm not talking about the timing vs. rpm ramp, I saying at say 4000rpm, it ramps up slowely if you cross 15mph. I quess once the timing truely catches up is were the module does nothing, which on a BF750 is around 35ish?

Hey Lyle, any thoughts on a copperhead for the Bomb800 yet?

Once 15MPH is reached the CDI does into recovery where it starts advancing over time to get to full advance. It doesn't happen instantaneously, because a quick jump could cause detonation.

If the wheels were spinning faster than 15MPH on the 750, and you pin it, you'll get full power with or without the module.

We want to build something for the Bomb 800, but we probably won't be able to start looking at it until later this year.

Out of the box, Map #2 eliminates the same as what the moose does, but it also increases your timing, and gives you a lot more power.
