Default additional lighting on my prairies?

I would like to add additional lighting for those night rides on both my prairies. But, I am concerned that the charging system is not big enough or that it will zap my battery. Any help would be appreciated on this matter. Most of my night rides are a couple of hours long sometimes more.

Default additional lighting on my prairies?

I have one backup light installed on my P700 and do quite a bit of plowing in the winter. Ive noticed that with front lights on low, rear backup light on, and using my winch for the plow, that the charging system does not keep up and will end up draining the battery. I have to turn off all the lights to get the winch to raise or lower when this happens. I would say Iam plowing for at least an hour.

Since then I have bought a battery tender to keep the battery fully charged when being stored in the cold.

Can anyone confirm the current draw of a Warn 2.5?

I believe its 58amps = 700 Watts.

My reverse light is 55 Watts. I dont know how many watts the factory head lights are.

One thing to remember is that I only draw 700 Watts from the winch every 40 seconds or so. Depends on how fast I drive down the driveway .

Your 360's alternator would put out 25 amps 14 volts at 8,000 rpm. That's 25x14=350 watts "MAX". The head light power consumption is at 45wx2=90 watts. You can calcualate the reserve wattage by subtracting other electrical demand (350-90-others=reserve).
