Has anybody tried to drill out the HUGE restricter plate just inside the pipe. Such a big pipe and such a small hole for the exhuast to come through. I was thinking about drilling some holes in it. Wondering if anyone else has already done it. If so what did you think? One other thing along that line. You see those endcaps on Ebay with the biggetr opening? Why not get a hole saw and drill out the stock end cap. A hole saw is much cheaper than that cap on Ebay. I think I will try that this weekend.

OK I did drill a 1/2" hole in the restrictor plate. It sounds just a bit different. I did notice a bit more power. I would roll down the street at about 5 MPH and goose it, it seemed to pull a bit harder than i remembered before. I did pull the air box lid off after I did that and reved it up. Just taking the lid off made it run lean. I pulled the lid off when I got it and reved it up and it was fine. I really didn't think that the 1/2" hole would make that much difference in the jetting, but it did. This weekend I will drill another another 1/2" hole in it , step up the jet and see what that does. I will also drill out the end cap as I said previously and you let you know what happens.

I did drill a one inch hole in the backing plate and installed a 155 main jet with the lid off. to me the only difference between my DMC Alien exhaust and my modded stock one is the modded stock one has abit more on the botttom end than the Alien. The Alien pulls better on top. The Alien did save some weight as well.

when i had my stocker i took the whole cap off. it did run better. aftermarket pipes will give about 2 ponies. the full exhaust will help with more motor mods.
