Default K&N or twin air?

I have a k&n for my brute, and I was wondering about the twin air. Is it compareable to the k&n? Do you have to mod the air filter cage, or when you get the twin air does it go on right over it like the k&n? I ride in dusty conditions sometimes and the k&n makes me a little nervous. Any imput will be appreciated.

Default K&N or twin air?

I run twinair because I didn't like how the seal was around my 02 air box with my K&N Filter, the rubber didn't fit tight enough. Now this is not a problem for you. I Love my twin air and it cleans good. For me the twin air is better.

One bad thing about K&N is that it will plug quicker with dust and reduce air-flow and performance. I raced motocross for 7 years and rarely saw a K&N on race machines. The Twin-air filters just as good and holds up longer in dusty conditions, plus it is easier to clean for the fact you can dry it with a towel. In my opinion the K&N is a good filter, just not meant for our application. It's more for street performance.

Cool thanks, can you use the stock air filter cage with the twin air? My k&n seals sh!tty around the cage also. It makes me nervous.

I have the Uni, so far it seems real good, the seal at the bottom seems good and tight, plus the dual layer foam gives the best of both air flow and protection. It is what my dealer recommends if that means anything. lol

I think I'll go ahead and order the twin air, it can never hurt to have piece of mind, or another filter.
