I think I may be having a bit of trouble with my KEBC. I read in some threads that you can remove it without damage to bike while opperating. I noticed that there is a 5pin connector on the KEBC. So if I just unplug it and seal the ends I should get the same result as removing it, right? Before I do this I would like some input on the issue. I realise that the engine brake will not work, but I heard that I may gain a little top end speed. By gaining top end speed will i lose bottom end power? Any info appreciated. Thanks Rendell.

 

You wont have engine braking if you just unplug the KEBC, but you'll have your 4wd light flashing & that get's anoying.. If you want to remove it & gain some top end you should remove the braking fork, you do that by removing your belt cover & then remove the actuator, and then the fork, it's real simple just 8 bolts on the cover 3 on the actuator & then the fork requires a circlip tool. I'd recomend removing the fork & then re-installing the actuator so you dont have flashing lights, thats also what suppose to give you another 1-2 mph top end is removing the fork...

 

Yes, Just remove your fork. Such a simple mod which can be done in 10 mins.

Yes i did, I felt to me like i just had a tad bit more power like the clutch wasnt being held back like it used to. Im glad i did it. Only took 10 mins.
