Default is it ok to put a lift kit on BF?

I had a 1.5 rear lift kit given to me and was wondering if it is ok for my 05 BF 650 SRA. Some people say it may hurt the rear ujoint. Anybody have a lift kit, and if so , did you have any problems. Thanks , Rendell

I dont know if it applys to the 650, but on the 750 people were having problems with the HL lift kit putting to much angle on the axles and causing them to break.

the more that I think of it, the less I think it will hurt at 1.5 inches of lift it would change the angle of your ujoint by like 2-3 degrees not much at all it would be the same as riding with no weight on it.

thanks guys for the input. I have it on and it feels pretty good to ride. I orginally had the rear shock adjusted all the way up but now I have it half way. I think it also improves the overall look of the bike aswell.
