400 tires
#1
I live in the mountainous region of NY, and i do a lot of trails, and medium sized jumps occasionaly. I am hoping to build myself a nice little MX track and was wondering what tire rim combo would be best for me. Im only 15 so my price range is about 300 dollars at most, right now i am thinking Razr2's with either .160 or.190 rims. Just the rears right now because my mudhooks don't handle the bike anymore, too much acceleration. All help is appreciated!

Stick with radials, you will not be unhappy you did.
IRazr Radials are awesome on the z400. I also believe Kenda has a new radial out, but I've not had any real world experience on those. I've ridden kfx/z400s with IRazr Radials and it was so much better than the one I rode with the bias Razrs and the bias Holeshot XCs.
I will personally never go back to bias ply tires again. Heck, I'd buy the stock Dunlops again before I'd buy another bias ply.

i see the new irazr's but will they gain more traction than razrs or 2's. My stocks are 40 percent and my gearing makes my tires sit and spin off the line. my friend has a 400ex with xc's on the rear and he rips into wheelies while i am spinning even tho i am faster all the way through
