Default Anyone Drag Race Quads Here?

I myself like to drag race my 05 kfx 400. It has a carbon fiber/titanium yoshimura exhaust, dyno jet kit, UNI filter. I plan on turboing it this year and a stage or 2 of NOS. I also plan to add a wheelie bar that is removable ( because what better than wheelies? ) I need to get some slicks though . They say that speeds any bike up a lot! I have been a 9.19 @ 69mph on a 90+ degree day. On stock tires. How fast is everyone elses quads?

I have done nothing to the bottom end, but i plan on rebuilding the whole quad later on in the future. I do plan to rebuild the motor to handle the boost and the NOS. Last night I removed the restrictive inlet for the air box and i am gonna make my own intake out of some 2.5 inch PVC pipe, then spray it black. I hope it runs a little better, I might have to jet the carb up some more.

Drag racing is a lot of fun. I tried it for the first time last summer at the drag races in Constable, NY. I took 2nd place in the heads up open utility class. I lost 1st place to 1stQuad, over on the kawieriders forum. Check with him on riding technique and quad set up. He was the '04, and '05 NY state utility class drag champion. He knows his stuff. He has figuring his dial in time down to a science. It's not just about being the fastest..... You have to be consistent also. If you break out, and beat your dial in time, you are DQ. DQ's never win a race.

Last fall we all went too KCIR and raced our quads and bikes.

My '03 Polaris below only went like 10 something at 59-62 mph
My buddies BRUTIS Polaris with a 600cc triple at 130hp spun tires all the way at 9.00 sec and 69-72 mph on stock tires. I did run it at 100+mph in 1/4 mile

Brothers 600 Ninja went 9.8 at 118mph in 1/4
His 500 Ninja went 11.2 at 95 mph in 1/4

This guy had a Banshee turbo'ed and drag ready, he ran 4.7 at 117-124 mph in 1/8 mile
that thing is fast, slicks, long wheelie bar, low to ground, and dependable. He ran 10 or more times while we were there. Also saw the worlds fastest Toyota Celica run 11.0 in 1/4 stock.

Haven't run my BUBBA BIKE yet at the strip. Its down for a warped head right now, and getting a 90mm bore.
We have a local that has your type quad and he put a Honda 989cc (I think) engine in it and runs and beats almost everyone at sand and raceway drags.

Asphalt hurts, be careful and wear all the protection.

I have been known to make a pass or two, are you talking about sand or pavement. i have never tried pavement but it sounds like fun. How long of a run do you make . The traditional 300 ft. quad drag or are you running longer distances like 1/4 mile car runs.

I run 300ft dirt drags on my Mojave. I should be surprising some 450's this year with my 330 race motor built by CWR.
