Default BF 750i is freakin' AWESOME! This forum isn't half bad either...

Hey all!
I've been lurking around the forum for a few weeks and just signed up.
You all have been very helpfull in helping me choose the BF 750 as well as the mods I have done to it in the last couple of weeks.
I bought two 2006 BF 750s both snow cammo., with winches.
I now have 12 hours on one of the Brutes and about 7 on the other.

I had them jetted for my elevation 4400', and have added stock size mud lites and a Dynatek to one of them.
I absolutely can't believe how much faster it is with the Dynatek. Although it will backfire after I have been gunning it and let off quickly.

How important would it be to add the clutch kit ??? The one my dealer recommended was the 2,000' to 6,000' Elev. clutch.
Will it make a really big difference??
Since I added the Dynatek I can already do wheel-stands at will.
What will the clutch kit do to help any more than the Dynatek already does?
Any suggestions on setup procedure?

How much would adding a pipe kit help?
I want to hold my own against the stock Bomb 800s

Thanks for all your help. This is a great site!!!

I am sure that with the Dynatek you are already holding your own. There a number of different mods. The first thing I would do now is get some good traction tires that fit your style of riding. Also, you don't have to go with a whole clutch kit for $20 you can get excellent performance by changing your primary spring. The EPI pink or maroon are good choices for all around riding.

I am originally from Utah. Where and what kind of terrain are you riding in?

I forgot to mention that i got some 25" mudlites and will be trying them out at little Sahara sand dunes this week. They look like they will perform much better then the stock tires did.

Thanks for the info on the clutch springs. I will be getting that mod done this week.

As you know, Utah has about every kind of terrain imaginable. I want to be able to do well in the widest range I can.
I will likely be doing mostly trail riding and will try to stay out of the mud holes that are "Too big"

Any advice on exhaust systems?
On a scale from 1 to 10 for performance gain,
If the Dynatek was a 10, how would an exhaust rate?
Will it increase the power enough to justify the expense?

I really like the noise levels that the stock exhaust system has, But if it will really help I could handle a little more noise.
I just don't want the noise levels to be any louder than they have to be to gain power.

With an exhaust system, you'll pry see the most gains on the low end. You might be sacrificing some top end speed but if your like me I'm not really concerned about top end as much as the low end punch. I have an HMF Utility series exhaust on my BF and it is pretty loud. Sounds like an airplane coming down the road. I just did the slip on exhaust b/c I'm not planning to do any internal mods to the engine and couldn't justify the extra $200 just for a piece of pipe for the whole system. My 2 cents

I don't know if they are ATs or XLs.
They are not radials, if that helps.

Dynatek is a modified ignition box that increases spark advance. Others can explain it much better than me. All I can say is WOW!
I have a short stretch of field I tested it on (About 100 yards) From a dead stop I hit 60 MPH before I had to slam on the brakes.
It was still pulling HARD. I'd bet it would hit 70+ MPH.

I haven't raced anyone so far. I would just like to be able to keep up with the Bomb 800 should I have a chance to race one.

On a scale of 1-10 the Dyna being 10 I would say exhaust is probably around 6. I put the exhaust on because I like to tinker with my machine and am commonly driven by curiosity. Huge improvement with exhaust? Not really. Is it worth the cost and more sound? That is for you to decide. Just remember if you put on an exhaust you will have to re-jet again because a better flowing exhaust system will cause your mixture to lean out. It is the same if you increase airflow by modifying the airbox for more air intake.

If you have it jetted right, and you add a maroon or similar primary spring you will be able to get the jump on a bomb 800.
