Default Forced to sell the BF750

Don't do like I did and spend over $3000 trying to make the brute do what it should have done stock. I have back disc problems from a wreck caused by a deer trying to beat my motorcycle. After a gel seat and $2000 shocks, the Brute's ride and handling improved. Then I bought the BRP800 and have a better ride and more power bone stock. The only thing I like better on the Brute is the brakes and it's looks. I am a kawi fan, but until they get it together, the Outy800 is the machine. The Dealers won't deal on them yet, but I would rather spend a little more now, then a lot more trying to make something it's not, and sacrificing some reliability in the process. You have to ride one on the trail to really see how good it is. I let people ride mine, and they always come back with a big smile on their face.

I'm a huge kawi fan but I'm hear to tell ya if it wasn't for the big price tag I'd own an 800 Outi. I got a chance to ride cc1999's 800 Outi at the clash of the titans and it was like a turbo charged hovercraft. Now I love my prairie I like the power and the stuck to the ground feel. But if you like power and a smooth ride the outi would be in a class all it's own for now. But then again the way the market is going for power, handling and ride who knows what will be out next year.

$50.00 TO $100.00 YOU CAN HAVE YOUR SEAT RE PADDED. Instant smooth ride.

Nucleation, I agree with you that the Brute could use better suspension I am not denying that. But if the Brute came better equipped as a stock machine then Bomb should price the Outy at what it is worth, but for right now it is too high. The Outy is a really nice machine, and I would take one if the opportunity presented itself.

I can make a Brute ride as nice as an Outy, and produce just as much power, if not more for almost $1000 less than you can buy an Outy right now. Plus, I have programmable power, a sweet sounding quad, and the great looks of a decked out machine.

$6500 for new brute plus $310 for Copperhead, $700 for Works shocks, $250 for 26" Mud lites = $7760

$8500 for new Outlander = stock machine, stock tires, no performance upgrades.

I agree with the Fatboy too. There is definately a trend that all machines will have to follow. Next year we will probably see some substantial changes. Maybe someone will produce the perfect quad at an affordable price.

I love the BF750 but several quads have plusher rides. Polaris 700/800 are like driving a boat. They just float along in a spongy sort of way. I didn't buy the BF for it's ride I bought it for the engine and drive system. I stand up almost all the time when I ride on all quads. I spent too many years on Dirt bikes to feel comfortable sitting for too long so it's really not an issue for me.

Well folks I think my body has taken all the abuse necessary. I rode my friends Honda Rincon during our two day ride at Hatfield McCoy (Rockhouse) this past weekend. The BF is just abusive to your body. My friend sat most of the day while I had to stand and get my teeth shaken out. This is just not what I expected when I bought it, I thought for a while it would get looser but it hasn't, I am not investing $1400 in new shocks.

If anyone else feels their suspension is going to get softer do yourself a favor and sell now.

I made the mistake of investing in winch, wheels, tires, skids, CDI, etc.

Worst part is I dont think without riding a quad with a superior suspension I would have realized how comfortable riding could be.
BF NY, I had a Honda Rubi for last years ride at Hatfield, we rode the same trail you did. My a$$ hurt bad after a day and a half riding. My friends that had griz, polaris's, and honda's and one kawi, felft the same also. I think that you do have to put $$$ in any bike to get the custom feel that you need. I just bought a BF750 and like so far.
