What size tires for kfx400?
#1
I have a 04 dvx400 and I would like to replace the tires with a larger size to gain more ground clearance.
I have been looking at the ITP XCT 22x11x9 rears and 23x7x10 fronts.
ITP claimes that this is the tallest sport atv tire that they make.
I know that I will have to gear down my atv to be able to pull the new tires.
But are these tires to big for the gears that I can purchase and has any one had these tires.
What do you think?

What kind of riding do you do? If you do not reqire race bread tires why don't you look into some 22x11x9 mudlites. Good light, rugged tire. You can still have alot of fun with those, and they won't be as heavy as the holeshots. Just a suggestion. Peace.

I do not race.
all of the riding that I do is woods rideing in mud and roots and rocks or rocky dust fast trails that are hard packed. Another rider advised me to just get a heavy duty skid plate and not to go to the bigger tire size. I Though that the bigger tires would be an advantage in the mud.
