Default Prairie 700 Muffler

Hello,

I have an 04 Kawi Prairie 700 w/ a Dalton Clutch Kit & K&N Air Filter. I am looking to put a new muffler on and wondering what is reccomended. Do they make a dual exhaust? Is there any muffler I could add w/ out jetting the carb? I am looking for slight performance but not to loud. An nice throaty sound would be great. Thanks for any help!

There is a wide variety of exhaust systems out there from full race set ups to slip on systems. All that I know of will require you to rejet but rejetting the 700 prairie is really easy. Most exhausts are noticably louder than stock so just to be on the safe side order a quiet core insert or something similar if you are at all conserned with noise. Here is a small list of some exhaust companys pro circuit, hmf, muzzy and the list goes on and on.

Hello,

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a bolt on or slip on muffler. Is there any that you reccomend more than others?

I can only comment on the one that I had. I used to run a hmf slipon powder coated red. It looked very good and sounded awesome. I didn't see much of a power gain out of it, maybe a little on bottom end with better throttle responce. If you want good looks and killer sound it will work well for you. But I still recomend a quiet core insert for hunting and noise sensitive areas. With the quiet core in it's a little louder than stock with it out sounds like a monster ready to run. Hope it helps
