What size tire will fit on the stock rims I am looking at getting 27or 26 but not sure if it will fit under my bf750 and how about the width i was thinking about 27-10-12 for the front and two 27-12-12 for the rear but i don't want to get to big of a tire that it is going to BOGG the brute Down what it the BEst combination.

As i stated, i stayed with stock size, which is 26" swamplites and still gaine another inch of ground clearance. If your stock size is 26, which i assume it is, and you have a kawi tranny as i do, i wouldnt get bigger tires unless you want to change your belt every 700 miles. Its real hard on the belt drives to get bigger tires, unless your modding your machine also, like clutch kits. Im very pleased with my tires, and it still has the power to pull a wheelie at command!

The Mud Lites on my Honda have over 5000 km on them, and are still better than half tread.I don't run on pavement much though.
The 27" tires will be fine.

I have researched all the tires that have been talked about under this topic. I am an aggressive trail rider along with the mud aspect. Don't tires like the mud bugs and other more aggressive mud tires beat the hell out of you on hard pack?
Why is it that all the guys racing sport utilities are all using Maxxis Big Horns and OEM wheels bead locks? I really just want the all around best tire. My focus is pushing the limits on the trails and ripping thru some mud with out having to be pulled out every time. My P-650 has tons of ***** I don't think tire weight is an issue.

gncc racers use bighorns and omf beadlocks because they get decent all around traction and are very durable. i think for rocky & hardpack bighorns do good but will not take you through all the big mudholes. i dont think there really is a great all around tire if you look at it that way. maybe the mudlite xtr radials or the carlisle act radials will be you best bet, decent mud ability and good radial trail ability. the downside is the weight but most radials are heavy. its the nature of the beast and there are always trade offs.

why do you recommend the xtr radials? do radials handle better or ride nicer?
