The manual recommends the same as the engine oil which is 10w40 SF, SG, SJ, or SL API rating also with JASO MA.

JASO MA just means that there are no added friction modifiers to mess with your wet discs in the front diff.

My favorite motor oil now is Shell Rotella synthetic 5W40. It is not a PAO based synthetic like Amsoil, but it is far better than conventional. Plus it is very inexpensive. You can get a gallon at Wal-mart for less than $15 and it is high quality lubrication. It is a heavy duty oil meaning it is formulated for use in high compression diesel engines, but it is also rated for use in all other 4 stroke engines. Being that it is made for a broad range of 4 stroke engines it has no friction modifiers in it and will work in the front diff. It is very comparable to Mobil DELVAC but is much less expensive.

Use ENGINE OIL.

Do NOT use Hypoid gear oil or any oil that's thicker than 10W-40. That's a NO NO.
Use the best engine oil 10W-40 that you can buy. Don't cheap out on this. It takes less than a half quart. It will save your front gear box (read mucho mula).

Lucas oil stabilizer = sludge

It might be a temporary fix for some things but causes more problems in the long run.

Get a good quality motor oil and let the additive package do it's job.
