Brute 750/Mud Lites. hate em

Well I just bought 26 mud lites on AFS Chrome wheels. I put them on the thing and I don't like the way they handle. They slow it down, and I wheelied and it came down and bent a tie rod. Is that too much for my machine? I though every one loved them. I actually liked the stock tires new better. I like to ride hard pack and trails and jump and romp, and I am not comfortable with these any where but maybe the sand and mud. what should I do. I bought the set barely used for cheap. they retail for like 9 something. they seem aweful heavy for any thing but mud, but every one else seems to say they are great. I am not so sure. should I sell the set and get some other trail tires for my stock wheels or what? I thought the mud lites were good for most terrain. it seems I will only like them for mud. help

if those are on steel wheels thats probably most of your problem, steel wheels suck they are super heavy. as for the jumping and romping you may want to go to a less aggresive tire. the mudlites are not made to ride like that. they have too much grip.

Hey, mud lites are great tires, you just didn't put any thought into your purchase. and how can you say that they are heavy? Their one of the lightest if not the lightest out there. ANd their not made for hardpack and jumping, and "romping" as you call it. But you should try a Maxxis Bighorn or something for dirt that will fit your needs and put more thought into your next expensive purchase.

Actually, I have steel chromed rims, with Swamplites, and they dont seem to heavy to me. Check em out on my pics, they are bad a** wheels!! If your doing the rough trail riding, you made the right choice with steel, a couple buddies have aluminum, and rode with me and now both of them have flat tires from their rims getting bent to crap! Aluminum are nice and light, but suck if your going to beat your quad on rocks and rough trails. Besides, look at my steel chromed rims, they are just as shiny as aluminum!

Well, the tires are mounted on AFS cast alluminum chrome wheels. I put a lot of look into it last year. Every one I talked to said they are the best all around tire for all types of terrain. I found a great deal at about half price, so I bought them. I guess my mocked, "romping" may be a little more than most ole boys, I don't know. I can't see this set taking that kind of jumping. I will take them to the river soon. I guess I will have to get a set of good trail tires for my mocked, "romping". I like to romp........can you say romp? ROMP!. I would hope they are good in the mud hole and sand. Any good ideas of good trail tires? So I can ROMP?

I too had the same result w/the 26" Mudlites & ITP C-series on my BF750.
I took the loss and sold the entire set of wheels/tires to a friend w/a Grizz, he loves them..
I switched to the ITP ATR's in the 25" size tire/ITP Type 7s this time instead of the Black Type 4's.
Perfect-O, couldn't be more happier with the New Results..
