Why would a company worry about how fast there utility quad will go? I hope other brands dont fall to this level.

 

yea, well i couldn't find such a review at atvrider.com. the Prarie seems to be their favorite 4x4 from their shootouts.

but i can tell you how this is gonna play out. there will be posts and reviews going both ways and it will most likely boil down to which machine is tuned better from the factory. but unless the 650 Bomb will be faster than the 750 brute (VERY unlikely) the 650i has a very good chance.

or we can always just say mine is faster and dig up something from cyberspace to back it up, but i don't care enough to bother.

Actually the outty 650 is the second fastest production utility quad made. Only to be beaten by it's own big brother the outty 800. I have seen the OL 650 race a BF 750, and it pulled away right off the line, by a little. Those rotax engines make awesome hp and they are second to none it this department. I know my post will start some controversy, but I have seen it with my own i's. Also, the 650 raced a sp800 and it beat it even worse than the bf750. It is reported that the OL500 that is coming out will keep up with a KQ700. We'll see.....

The Sp and KQ are not even close in speed to be a contender. And as far as I know nothin beats the 750i off the line.
Oh, woops maybe the 650i, cuz that is the fastest quad ever built according to it's owners.

 

I will be able to tell you for sure after day which is faster the 650 bomb or the bf650i. I really doubt the 650 bomb will even keep up if it's big brother the 800 can not get past me. The 650i is a whole new design and beats its big brother the 750i for now.

 

I'm pretty sure if this "new" design made th 650 faster than the 750, they would probably use it on the '07 750i's and it would probably beat the bomb 800. If all these claims are true, that is....

 

If it is true, i guess alot of people will have to step down off of their pedestal.

 

i'm pretty sure that people have been bumping up compression and using bigger carbs to increase HP long enough to consider it a proven method. and if you get a chance, put a 650i CDI in your 750 and give it a test ride.

i did see the first two Bombs (400s) i have seen on the trails today. seemed decent enough. this area is remote enough that many days i won't see another person all day, other days i'll see one or two. i usually ride 2-up with the GF by ourselvs so i could really care less who is fastest, but the 650i got bashed so badly when introduced that i think it's funny that what comes around goes around.
