Which is more powerful and if so how does the rotax produce so much power. high comp pistons, DOHC, efi or all four.

 

i dunno, but my money is on the 650i. EFI does not make more power than carbs. 650i has enough compression it needs high octane fuel, and is in a lighter cahssis.

but like i say, i don't know. i will keep an eye on this thread just for giggles. i think both are high end machines, so it is not a big deal to me. just a little curious.

same here, the two engines are the same as their bigger brothers and supposeldy the 800 smokes the bf, and that my just be dust to the extra 50 cc, so im wondering with same displacement how they would do.

 

I have had a chance to ride both an 800 Outlander and 750 Brute Force for 2006, although not really on any trails. They are both awesome machines! The 800 Outlander is fast and quick! And it stops on a dime. Engineering has a lot to do with it, but a lot of it is the wieght savings they have done using aluminum in the frame and suspension. The brute force is just all around awesome and tough.

If I was going out and picking one today I would probably pick the BF over the Outlander. Only because I think it will take more abuse. I am just not ready to accept all that aluminum in the Outlander yet.

I would like to see that race. I think it would be good. I would put my cash down on the 650i though.

I know the 650i is going to have more low end grunt, its just a matter of if the Rotax has enough mid and top to make up for it.

 

I would have to say the Outty 650 is faster and more powerful then the BF 650. What i have read is that the Outty 650 is the second fastest quad next to its big brother and the BF 750 is very close behind.

 

so now the 650 bomb can beat the 750 brute is that what your saying.

u bet i can,t wait for the 450 honda to lay the smackin on the 750 mmoo.some people watch to many promos .i ride with warmock he,s got the new 650i it,s a very nice bike very fast .nice ride ect .but i get him every time and i give him my dynatec and i run the 26in big horns he runs 25in, lots of fun . ANY 450 hondas want a go lollol you may have to give me a head start

I wouldn't be surprised if the 07 BF750i doesn't beat the Outi 800. Kawasaki detuned the 06 and back BF750 because it had so much power off the line that it would tend to wheelie. Now that Polaris and Bombardier are using the drag race as a selling point, I'm pretty sure Kawasaki will take the detune out of the program and let the big dog hunt.
