Greeting All, I am new to the ATV world and was given an old ('86) Bayou 300 KLF to restore. It has been sitting around a couple of years. I cleaned the carb, replaced the starter switch and choke cable (choke was sticking), but I am having a hard time getting it to run. Engine turns over fine, but when I get it to fire and idle, It dies as soon as I take my finger off the starter switch. (got it to hold a very weak idle for a short time off the switch once, but then quit on me). Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, the neural light stays on and ATV will roll when I try to engage the gears with the engine not running. Is this because it has a centrifigal clutch and needs power to engaged, or is the transmission shot? For what it worth the rest of it seems to be in pretty decent shape.
