I got a Warn 3.0CE with synthetic rope and a winch mount. paid right at $500.00. I love the thing. So far I have pulled out one quad and pulled out some big stumps. Tore em out like nothing.

Could have bought a cheaper winch but the way I am if I get stuck enuf to need a winch i want it to work. Call it silly but I have more faith in a name brand than non name brand items. Have bought off brands before and the tiems turned out to be junk.

I got the 3.0 vs the 2.5 because the 3.0 has a lifetime warranty and a little more pulling power. IT was right at $100 more than the 2.5.

As far as other winches I have a friend that got the Champion winch and it already broke on him. I know nothing about the Venoms. As far as the gorillas I heard they are a knockoff of Warn. For a 3000lb gorilla its like under 90 bux. Not a bad winch for the rear of a machine. If you need a mount for the bike check out Kappers These guys were excellent, customer service was A+. And their winch mount is top quality. Very happy with them. And the best prices on warns..

 

Thanks for the link Viper. I checked out the Kappers site and they do have a great deal on winches. I priced out the 3000 Venom, mounting plate, and shipping and it comes to 197.00. That is a great deal right there. The synthetic winch rope is probably another 50-60 bucks, but is a must have in my opinion.
