last week i finally got to see what the prarie was capable of on the top end. down a pavement hill my brother got 68 mph and on the flat grave trails he got 63. it wheelies in hi or lo 4wd or 2wd if it gets traction. no that i go that fast on a regular basis but im wondering if this is average. Btw it is completely stock and my brother who was riding weighs in at 225

 

Plenty fast for a 650. Faster than mine, but I have 27's. The most I have gotten is about 63 or so on the speedo.

 

with stock tires how close is the 650 to the 750, im not saying the prarie is slow its a rocket, but im wondering if my praire is slow compared to other prairies and if something is wrong.

 

Thats average. I hit about 70 on a straight paved road.

 

I put the stock tires back on my P650 yesterday, just to do some comparison. It is much quicker up to speed with the smaller lighter tires. On a small straight away on a field road near me(about 200-250 feet) I hit about 30 or so mph with the 27's before having to slow down for the road. With the stock tires I hit 40+, and the 750 I hit 45+. This is not recorded data or anything, it just gives you some kind of idea.

 

I hit almost 70 on my 03 p650, we were on the road and we were clocked by a cop. And at the time I weighed 275.

 

I hit 71mph the other day. If found out my speedo was off by 1mph with the 26" tires.
